inflammatory emails

Phil,
I believe his lovely apology came after most replied- it did for me
at least. It takes awile for things to clear the Purdue list (they can't
keep the junk out with out a delay). I don't want to pick on Volker. Part of
the email that goes on after someone sends an inflammatory reply to
something is the soothing of hurt feelings, etc. I know- last year I hastily
dashed off a very insensitive reply and got rightfully put in my place. I
think the emails sent afterwards about why I was insensitive in what I wrote
helped me to not do it again. Some pointed out my failings in a very nice
manner. I appreciated that. I think Volker got some nice emails too. So- I
think these emails are a part of the mechanism that keeps us a cohesive
group. You can always delete them with out looking if it irritates you.
