Hi Volker, I think as you say yourself your words are a little harsh. Over the years I have had quite a number of people (many from Europe) with years of flow cytometry experience approach me in hope to obtain work in Australia only for short periods of time anywhere from 3 months to 2 years. Some of these people wish to improve their English and would like to do this working in a field that they are familiar with, others would like to visit/tour our country and work at the same time. Many of these people are young and the position that has been advertised by Elise is perfect for someone who would like to take the opportunity to come over to our wonderful country for a short time, although I have been approached by someone with many years of experience that would like to come over and have break from their more permanent/senior positions. I am sure that Elise will get many international people approach her interested in this position and they would not regret coming over one little bit. The Australian Flow Cytometry Group is a very friendly group as is the Melbourne Flow Group what a perfect opportunity to get to know fellow flow cytometrists on the other side of the world. BTW I hope my message has not overfilled your email box. Grace Chojnowski > I am a little bit confused about your job offer.
