Hi Phil,

The excitation profile for dsRed peaks at 553nm but has shoulders at 488nm
and 526nm.
We have excited and sorted dsRed containing cells using the 488nm line. If
your cells have a reasonable amount of protein, that should be OK. If it is
weakly expressing, you may have more success with eg a green HeNe.
