Ana,
On the FACSCalibur cytometer, it is possible to use FITC and PE and APC (as long as
you have purchased the second 635nm red laser along with the 488nm laser). You can
use FITC and PE and CyChrome if you only have the 488nm laser. You can compensate
for the spectral overlap in both these cases and it works well.

On the old FACScan cytometer, you can do FITC and PE and CyChrome, but you cannot
do APC.

So, with a 488nm laser you can do FITC and PE and CyChrome.
If you have both a 488nm laser and a 635nm laser, you can do FITC and PE and CyChrome
or APC.
