Dear Fred, I think one of the difficulties you may run into is that of steric hindrance. Human CD8a is ~240aa and CD8b is ~210aa; a mouse IgG1 or IgG2a chain without the fluorescent tag is at least twice that size (I could not find the exact number, anyone have it handy?)
