Consult our website for further background information - http://www.dundee.ac.uk/biocentre/ FLOW CYTOMETRY FACILITATOR RA1A (£17,626 - £26,491) Division of Cell Biology & Immunology An enthusiastic individual is required to run a Fluorescence Activated Cell Sorting (FACS) Laboratory. This will provide a flow cytometry core facility for the School. Duties include: providing an operator service for the flow sorter and two benchtop cytometers; assisting researchers in the generation, display and analysis of results; the introduction of new techniques appropriate to the needs of the users. The ideal candidate should be educated to science degree level (BSc or PhD) and have a background in cell biology and laboratory work. Experience in the theory and practice of flow cytometry, particularly cell sorting, is an advantage. Starting salary will be according to qualifications and experience.
