Nitrogen vs. air in cell sorters

Dear all,

The e-mail archive already gave me some information on
comparing nitrogen and air when used as a sheath carrier (propellant)
in cell sorters.
It was said that buying the pump is cheaper than
having nitrogen delivered in tanks, but the humidity in air causes
problems.
Since outside air needs to be filtered and dried, there are operational
costs involved (e.g. drying column refill).
Has anybody compared the overall cost and convenience of nitrogen vs.
air?

I would appreciate more detailed information and recommendations on this
matter.
