We use Dave from Thursby to connect the Macs to a PC network. This allows
you to log onto a NT server, and allows the Mac to appear on Network
Neighborhood of the PC network. http://www.thursby.com is the link, I
believe. I also remember that others on this list use PC-Maclan as a
software product to do the same thing. It is also possible to create a Mac
area on a NT server, but I do not know how to do this, but it is possible,
at least with NT 4.0. I hope that this is useful. The only problem we have
with the Dave software product is that the 2 Macs we have don't talk to each
other using over Dave, so we have to use Appletalk and turn on file sharing
on the Macs.

I hope this helps.

Doug

Dear All,

We have two BD flow instruments and our IT people do not have any experience
on networking the Macintosh computers to the server system. It will be
really appreciated if any of you can provide me with valuable suggestions
and information sources. Thanks in advance.

Best regards
