Abstract:

PE-Cy5.5 and APC-Cy5.5 are tandem molecules of phycoerythrin (PE) and allophycocyanin
(APC) attached to the indocyanin dye, Cy5.5. When libked to antibodies, these dyes
increase the number of fluorescence parameters that can be analyzed simultaneously in
flow cytometry.. Now, using a single Argon laser, up to 6 parameters may be analyzed
together. As these reagents are relatively new, little information concerning their
use is available. To address this issue, we will cover fundamental questions related to
their application. Topics will include optical configuration, set-up and compensation
for these dyes. Flow cytometry data from multi-color analysis will be presented.
