Hi all, A while ago (it might even have been as long ago as 1998) this list discussed the use of Ethidium Monoazide for the detection of dead cells when doing intracellular staining (I think Mario was the first to suggest it?). We are about to order some and get the technique going in the lab here. However, as we were discussing it someone in another lab mentioned that he had been using apoptotic markers (in particular antibodies against the active form of caspase-3) for the detection of apoptotic and dead cells while doing intracellular staining. Has anyone else tried this? Any comments?
