Geert Stange, This issue is over a decade old, and if you look that far back in the Purdue archive you will find a few different approaches, especially if you have access to an "IBM compatible" PC. The best solution is to use FACSNet, the ftp (file transfer protocol) software re-packaged by BD. I have all the hardware and software for the HP340/CONSORT32 system. You are welcome to have it (for free) if you pay the shipping charges. Please contact me directly for more details. mailto:eric.vanburen@wayne.edu Eric >hi, >we are trying to recover some older data from hp computer (facstar) to MAC >so far no problem except if the files are to large and do not fit on a >double density floppy disk > >can we connect the HP computer on an appletalk network (or something else) >and how? or is it possible to format HD floppy disks on a HP (which values >for formatting) ? >thanks >-- >Geert Stange >diabetes resarch center >laarbeeklaan 103 >1090 Brussel >tel 02 / 477 4557 >fax02 / 477 4545 Eric Van Buren, aa9080@wayne.edu Karmanos Cancer Institute and Immunology & Microbiology Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan, USA
