In mouse peripheral blood, granulocytes make a discrete population that is strongly positive for Gr-1 and CD11b. This population is ~15% of CD45+ leukocytes. The remaining cells that are CD11b+ and Gr-1 negative or weak amount to ~9% of CD45+ cells. These can be sub-divided into sub-populations if you collect enough events. The F4/80 monoclonal stains 0.5% of the CD45+ population in peripheral blood. If someone knows of a single monoclonal that clearly identifies monocytes in mouse peripheral blood, I would be quite interested myself. -Jim Weaver ************************************************* * * * James L.
