Bad Flow data thread

I just can't resist.

If you run samples through your instrument and then pass the data on to the
investigator, then it is you responsibility to make sure the data is
interpreted correctly. You are responsible for the data output from the
Cytometer.

With this in mind, if people are publishing results from your Flow work,
then it is your responsibility to make sure the interpretation and final
publication of the data is correct.

So how about we all agree on criteria for correctly displayed data and take
the responsibility to make sure that it is correct.
This is what we get paid to do, and we should not allow bad data (or
figures) to make it to publication.

This is called taking responsibility for your part of the work.

Yes many investigators are not as well tuned to the nuances of the data from
a Flow Cytometer, and that is why it is called Collaboration
