Hi- We have used an I-90 for simultaneous UV and 488 nm on a FACS Vantage and found it to be problematic. First, there is no independent adjustment of the power output of each line, so in order to get good UV the laser needs to be run at a high current resulting in high 488 nm output. Secondly, the tube life seemed to be much shorter than an I-90 in single line mode. We also seemed to have more problems with beam shape and noise, especially as the tube aged. The Coherent Enterprise laser is designed to simultaneous 488 nm and UV; we don't have any experience with that model. If you can afford it and have the bench space, in our opinion having separate lasers would be optimal.
