Tami, Whether or not you run FACSComp every day is dependent on your applications. If you are doing clinical or GLP type of work, you must run it every time you run the machine. However, contrary to BD's insert with the Calibrites, you can make the beads up, store them in the dark in the refrigerator, and use them at least two weeks if the bead lots are less than 6 months old. I have stretched the same beads up to a month, although that is not something I recommend if you want your instrument to pass every time. In my hands I have found the most labile of the beads to be the PerCP beads. I have never had any of the other beads fail, only the BD proprietary PerCP beads. (BD, are you listening?)
