Yes, it can.  If you look at the Elite, it has essentially the same fluidic and
detector configuration as the 753.  Using the Sense in Quartz tip (with the focusing
lense added) should work.  One thing . . . the Elite's detectors may be different
(perhaps more sensitive), but I doubt it.
With a little work, you'll probably be able to sort as well.
