How interesting.  Our Time Delay Cal failed multiple times over multiple days just
last week and BD was called.  Phone help suggested resetting the EPROM board (both
button reset, not just the lower one).  This supposedly resets the calibration back
to a baseline.  This fix worked at first but the problem was returned shortly thereafter.

  Our BD service rep came to the lab and solved the problem.  As it turned out the
  sheath filter was partially clogged which resulted in a dramatic drop in the sheath
  pressure exiting the filter and traveling to the flow cell; enough to cause stream
  distortion and ultimately, Time Cal failures.  To top it off, he said that this was
  the 3rd one he had fixed this way in the last week!

  Might not be the source of your problem but try replacing the sheath filter.
