If the system is to maintained sterile then you need not change filters and
chance contaminating the system.
The large Pall filter can be used with >20 liters of sheath without having
to be changed.
I use a (PALL)Gelman Versacap P/N 12130 from Fisher that does the same
thing. It is a bit cheaper and is actually a double .4u with a .2u output.
This is a clear capsule and comes marked as "Sterile".
I use this with one tank of sheath (7 liters). Because I sort cells for
patient use I dispose of the filter after the 7 liter usage.

Hi dear folks,

Does anyone out there in Sortland use PALL system of
autoclavable sheath filters on Vantage (or other machine)?
What's your opinion of this system comparing with frequent
changing of ordinary filters in order to maintain sterility on
sorter.

Thanks everyone,
Sasha
