On the FL-A 1999 CAP Survey, I utilized SimulSet software and for the first
time a high percentage of my values are higher than the survey values
(exihibited positive bias). I reanalyzed my original data (from FL-A) using
CellQuest and in the main the values all dropped but were both positive and
negative around the survey mean. Even though for years flow analysis using
SimulSet has never produced values with a tendency toward positive bias,
when I received CAP Survey FL-B 1999, I used CellQuest software for my
analysis. In the case of FL-B and CellQuest, my values in the main reflect
a negative bias. Not that the values are too low just that a high
percentage are lower than the survey mean. Has anyone had similar
experiences with SimulSet and CellQuest software? Please provide me with
any insight you have or experiences you have had with SimulSet and CellQuest
software. The computer involved in the 1999 CAPs was a FACStation--in all
other past clinical flow analysis and CAPs, I have used a Hewlett-Packard
Consort 32. Linda T. Archer, Ph.D., Director Flow Cytometry, VAMC, OKC
