Dear Flow community: Thanks for all of your responses to my inquiry. We ordered enough screen from TWP Inc listed in Steve Lemoenic's very helpful response to take care of our needs into the third millenium for less than $80.00. For those of you who use frosted slides to prepare splenocytes, thanks for the thought, but I am so fumble-fingered that I have not ever gotten consistently uncontaminated splenocyte populations that way. With the screens we make with long wire handles and using curved scissors to mince the spleens, and 3 cc syringe plungers to press the chunks through the screens, sterility is easy for us to maintain. Thanks again. JHWIII ******************************************************** * John H.
