Hello John,

Whilst I cannot help you with an American supplier, I thought I would let you know UK manufacturer of the sieves that I have.

The company is ENDECOTTS Ltd, Lombard Road, London, SW19 3BR, England. The numbers I have for them are 01-542-8121 and Fax: 01-543-6629, but these are old references.

They produce a wide aperture and diameter range of woven s/steel wire mesh sieves held in brass discs. I have three aperture sizes; 100, 250 and 500 microns. I have had these for several years and they have not suffered any distension or damage despite much use. They are beautiful pieces of equipment and look like they belong on an ocean liners bridge.

I hope you find a distributor for them in the States. Good Luck,

    Dear Flowers:
It has been seemingly eons since my lab did much mouse work. Now we find ourselves gearing up again for a lot of mouse work with splenocytes. We need to make more stainless steel screens for mincing spleens and pressing the fragments through with syringe plungers. The problem is we have lost our source for the screening. It appears we used 100-200 mesh size. Has anyone a clue as to a US supplier? Many thanks.

    JHWIII
