Maintenance contracts

I have been asked to post a summary of the replies I received about the relative merits of
buying a maintenance contract on a sorter or saving the money in a high interest account. I
received 12 responses.

The general feeling is that maintenance contracts are expensive. However if there is a need to
keep instrument downtime to a minimum (eg clinical lab or some such) then a contract is
probably worth the expense. Of those expressing strong views 4 were for the contract and 3 were
for the high interest account.

Thanks again to those who replied.
