Howard & Group, I would like to throw out an item for discussion. That is the possiblity of publishing PFCv4 only on CD. Production costs are generally cited as around $2/CD. You could charge $25/copy and probably make more $/copy than you are getting from Wiley. This would also give you much greater control over graphics & presentation and allow free use of color graphics. If you migrated to an HTML based format a la Purdue CDs, you could also include sound files (songs!) as well as original cytometry data files. In this day and age it is nearly impossible to find a PC/Mac that does not have a CD drive. It would be somewhat less convenient that a printed book but could be made available to a wider audience due to the significantly reduced price. As for content, I would suggest adding an FAQ chapter, perhaps in collaboration with Steve Kelley. Hope this helps. -Jim Weaver ************************************************* * * * James L.
