We have been using Fisher microcentrifuges routinely for years. We spin 1 ml tubes at approximately 5000-6000 rpm (2400-3400g) for 1 minute (setting # 4 or 4.5). We have never had any problems at these speeds and have processed many different types of cells at these conditions. _____________________________________________________ Paula Lavery Transplant Immunology Laboratory McGill University Health Centre Royal Victoria Hospital Montreal, Quebec, Canada plaver@po-box.mcgill.ca "If we knew what we were doing it wouldn't be called research, would it?" -- Albert Einstein -----Original Message----- From: Nancy Gin <nancy_gin@yahoo.com> To: cyto-inbox Date: Friday, May 21, 1999 1:32 PM Subject: centrifugation > >Hello, We're wondering what everyone out there in the flow world is >using as centrifuges for immunophenotyping and at what speed.
