I would like to purify bovine B-cells from peripheral blood lymphocytes. I don't have access to a cell sorter. I know I can remove monocytes/macrophages by incubating overnight in a plastic petri dish so that's not a problem, the question is, how do I get rid of the T-cells? I have read about using an anti-T cell antibody followed by the appropriate species complement to lyse T-cells. This was done in human and mouse cells. Does anyone know of an antibody, commercial or otherwise, which could be used in the same way for bovine cells? I need to be able to count the B-cells before and after their treatment so a 'panning' approach is no good. Thanks in advance for any advice.
