I would recommend using smaller magnetic prticles to sort your cells.
Miltenyi Biotech sells them as MiniMACS reagents. They are compatible with
FACS and work great. There is no need to detach those particles to reanalyze
sorted populations, but if there is need to detach there also exist
detachable particles
