Dear Robin There is several CD1a mAb in the market. One that always work is from Ortho and you can purchase it either FITC or PE labelled. Becton Dickinson has also another CD1a that is also good. Serotec also has one. Be aware that if you use it in combination with another mAb for two color staining, the compensation should be almost perfect. Or you will easily see false positive staining (Increase MFI) for your other mAb. One combination that will work could be CD1a FITC vs HLA-DR PE. Never forget that DC has strong Fc receptors that could increase your background. Regards and good luck Rafael >Has anyone out there got any recommendations for good fluorochrome-labelled >anti-CD1a antibodies (especially for examining dendritic cell >differentiation in vitro). Comments on merits of one antibody versus >another would be especially wellcome. >Robin Barclay >SNBTS, Edinburgh \|/ (o o) ________________________________oOo__(_)__oOo_________________________________ ___/\_ | Rafael Nunez mailto:rafaeln@vetvir.unizh.ch / o \/| | University Inst.for Virology http://www.vetvir.unizh.ch/ / _| | Winterthurerstr. 266a Telephone: (+41) 1 6358710 /_/\__/-\/ | 8057 Zurich SWITZERLAND Faximile : (+41) 1 6358911 ______________________________________________________________________________
