While we are on this subject again, I agree that Philippe Poncelet has been a good source of common sense on the issue of quantitation. In addition, BD has started to sell some new beads (QuantiBRITE) that seem as if they may also help in fluorescence quantitation. I haven't tried them yet but would be interested in comments from people who have. These beads were, to my knowledge, first described at the Rimini ISAC meeting in a poster by Ken Davis et al. BTW, are these companies all competing to put upper case letters in random places throughout words? Is this some sort of macho thing that has passed me by? aliCE Alice L.
