Flowers Thanks to all the people who replied to my question. Thanks especially (as usual) to Howard Shapiro who supplied a list of references that kept our library busy for several days, where does he find the time to do everything. As usual the method is very easy if one knows how and I should have been able to work it out for myself. There are basically two ways to do this, add a label for RBCs and gate them out, or add a pan WBC marker and trigger on fluorescence, so that the instrument never knows the red cells are there. Of course they are there and the files will be large and the collection time will be long, on a bench top cytometer, but as we always say in core facilities " my time is your money" Thanks again to you all, Jill Jill Martin, , Manager Molecular Biology & Flow Cytometry Core Johnson Research Building Mayo Clinic Scottsdale 602-301-6071 (Voice) 602 301-7017 (FAX) email: jmartin@mayo.edu or martin.jill@mayo.edu
