A Postdoctoral position is immediately available to study molecular and cell biological aspects of the glycophospholipid (GPI) anchor assembly pathway. Current interests in the lab include characterization of the genes of the pathway and the development of a mouse model of the hemolytic disorder, paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria, in which the GPI anchor assembly is disrupted. Previous experience in molecular biology, transgenic technology or protein/lipid chemistry is preferred. This laboratory is one of an interactive group of four laboratories concerned with the study of posttranslational glycolipid anchor processing. Interested individuals should forward a curriculum vitae and names of three references to: Dr. Edward Medof Department of Pathology Room 301 Case Western Reserve University 2085 Adelbert Road Cleveland, Ohio 44106 Tel.
