Bead standard qua DAPI?

Can anyone on the list recommend a source of microbeads suitable for daily
alignment checks on an instrument used for single channel ploidy/spf
analysis via DAPI fluor? We now align using Coulter DNA Check beads, but
acquired in another channel since their signal in the DAPI channel is so
weak. The multispectral beads from FCSC are a better fit wrt signal
strength in the DAPI channel, but they give up a point or two in CV and
are more than twice as expensive. We can stay with the Coulter beads, but
I'm still searching for a standard that looks as much like the specimen as
possible. Thanks for any suggestions.
