heat stability

I would like to get opinions of the list on the following. An
investigator here recently ordered an antibody conjugated to biotin from a
company that I will not name. It was requested that the product be
shipped on ice, which the company says it will do if it is requested.
The item was shipped Federal Express and was NOT on ice. They knew it
was being shipped to Arizona, and it arrived on a day when it was over
100=B0F (even in October) We have no way of knowing how long it was expose=
d
to that temperature, and as the investigator had requested that it was
shipped on ice, wanted them to replace it. They say that it is not
necassary and that the product is stable and will be fine. Do any of you
out there have experience with using an over heated antibody? Do you
think it will be O.K. and if it isn't what are the problems going to be?

Thanks for any help

Jill
