Problems reading Profile files

I have been having problems reading files saved onto 3.5 floppies off
my profile II. These problems first occurred when the 5.25 drive was
removed and a 3.5 drive installed, and at the same time the hard
drive was replaced after it had crashed.
Half of the files on the 5.25 disks are readable on the Profile when I put
them in the old drive, and only a quarter of those on 3.5 disks are
readable on the profile.
I then tried using my PC to copy the files that did not read on the profile onto
new disks either formatted on the profile or IBM formatted. This
did not work. I next tried archive rebuild to no avail.
I have now tried converting the profile files to FCS using the verity
software, which has worked for half of the files, however some files
do not convert and others only convert the first histogram and then my PC
crashes.
Please any suggestions would be appreciated

Iona O'Brien.
