Data backup for HP 340 (FACScan)

I am submitting this request for information for Terry Cucci at the
Bigelow Labs here in Maine.

He would like to know if anyone has any experience with removable
hard drives as backup devices for the HP 340 computer that comes with the
FACScan? He had heard that it was possible to interface a Syquest
removable hard drive to the HP. The other options seem to be 1)
Bernoulli's (too small), and 2) Tape (too slow). Any advice or actual
experience would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Ken Ault
