Now to my question--we would like an idea of how our fees compare to
those at similar facilities. I run a university flow and image analysis
lab (see sig.) and we charge flow users $75.00/hr if I run, or $50.00/hr
if they run (they have to take our 3-day short course first). We aren't
for-profit, but we are expected to break even. The instrument is an EPICS
753, and the fees include all data storage and analysis (Verity, Phoenix,
and TrueFacts products). Projects range from DNA content in plants, fish,
yeast etc. to immunophenotyping to membrane potential--whatever anyone
wants to try.
If managers in similar situation care to respond (either to the list or to
me directly) I'll be glad to post a summary for everyone's info.
