ink for ink jet printers

In the interest of the environment (and your bank accounts), I am passing on
the following information: We have started to refill our HP PaintJet
cartridges with ink that we have purchased from Computer Friends Inc, 14250
NW Science Park Drive, Portland, Oregon 97229 USA (telephone
1-800-547-3303). The process seemed a bit fiddly and messy at first, but we
now keep the old cartridges topped up (i.e. don't allow them to run dry) and
we are reasonably happy with the results. You might want to keep a few
genuine HP cartridges around for publication-quality print outs, but the
re-filled cartridges work very well for most purposes. The ink from Computer
Friends costs about $11.00 for enough ink to fill 2-4 black cartridges.
Colored inks are also available.
