Multiple Myeloma - DNA labelling index

Dear Flow-ers,

An investigator has asked me to look into DNA labelling index analysis for
multiple myeloma patients. There is literature which suggests flourescent
labelling of plamsa cells, along with BrDU, and counting the S phase plasma
cells, is very prognostically significant.

The problem is that the investigators have been told that this can only be
done by flourescent microscopy - "it doesnt work on flow" - Naturally I
reject any such statement as ill-informed :-)

I hope I'm right ... can anyone help me with a flow based protocol ??

Thanks in advance
