Our laboratory has had very good results with PerCP with our FACScan.
Generally, no compensation is needed to keep FL3 out of FL 2. It
works with our Vantage, too, but not as well--probably due to the laser
power. I tried reducing laser power on the Vantage going from 100 mW to
50 mW and the results were about the same for the PerCP.

One note of caution: One researcher was staining CD3 PerCP and looking at
FITC intracellular staining, using alcohol to permeabilize. The PerCP
staining disappeared.

We have also used the tandem conjugates, PE+Cy5. Usually some slight
compensation is needed with these reagents.
