Research Associate in the FACS Analytical Department

You will assist in the operation of a busy flow cytometry facility
consisting of BDIS FACStar Plus, FACS Vantage cell sorters and
FACScan cell analyzers. Responsibilities include assisting with the
operation, calibration, scheduling, data management and routine
maintenance of the FACS facility instrumentation. In addition you
will be contributing intellectually to on-going and new FACS
development projects in the areas of software development, computer
networking, and fluorochrome/optics/detection systems. You will be
required to extract and formulate methods and techniques from
scientific journals, articles and conferences relating to flow
cytometry. You will also be responsible for record keeping,
ordering and maintaining inventory. BS or MS degree in a relevant
discipline with experience in an academic, clinical, or corporate
biomedical research environment. Experience with computer operating
systems (Mac, Windows, NeXT, HP), programming (Pascal, C, C++), or
software development is desirable.
