FACSCaliber acquisition problems

We are having trouble with our FACSCaliber during data collection.
Specifically, the computer-cytometer connection seems to be disrupted every
so often while running. We have to restart the cytometer and computer,
usually more than once, to reestablish the connection. We start the
cytometer first and wait a minute before starting the computer. We have a
Syquest drive nearby for data storage, but even with the Syquest off the
entire time, we can still run into this same problem. Has anyone else
encountered this particular problem? This is rather annoying and any
suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
