What sheath fluid preservative do you use?

Thank you for reading this request.

We would like to use a preservative in our sheath fluid. Currently we
use Isoton II diluted with 0.22 um filtered Milli-Q water. Ideally we
want an alternative to azide, something that is easy to dispose of
and isn't dangerous to lab staff. Do you have any suggestions?

Could you give:
Compound
Working Concentration
Lifetime of preservative properties

Thanks for your help,

Dan
