Have you tried typing all the notations on the initial histogram, then
overlaying?

We also use HP-formatted FACScan files, then using FACSnet software (BD) we
transfer to an IBM PC and analyse with PC LYSYS (BD) or Multicycle (Phoenix
Flow)
