Hello
I have been comparing different lysing agents and was wondering if it
was possible and/or advisable to add paraformadehyde to directly
stained whole blood from HIV positive patients subsequently lysed
using B-D Autolyse if one used this reagent on the bench instead of
at a FacsPrep workstation.

Could anyone please comment as the price per test would be very
competitive to Immunoprep . Another thing, is Paraformaldehyde the
fixative of choice, is Formalin not a good idea and if so why?

Thanks
Jane
