FLOW CYTOMETRY SERVICE.

The Clinical Sciences Centre is a new initiative taken by the MRC at the
Royal Postgraduate Medical School (RPMS) to integrate basic biological
science with clinical research.

Applications are invited for a highly qualified scientific support staff
post. Responsibilities will include the provision of a flow cytometry
service, and extend to liaising with prospective users on the approaches,
techniques, and instrumentation most suitable for their planned experiments
(a cell sorter, bench-top analysers, a confocal microscope, and a
CCD-equipped fluorescence microscope are available). Candidates will not
only have long-standing experience in the operation of
fluorescence-acrivated cell sorters, a good understanding of the underlying
physics, and a strong background in biology. They should be highly
interactive, and motivated to contribute intellectually to collaborative
research projects.
