I would greatly appreciate any recommendations regarding file archiving
devices (MO, bernoulli, other) compatible with an HP consort 32. I spoke
with a BD rep who informed me that in order to do data analysis on a MAC we
would need to purchase the "FACSNet" application bundle (>$1200) as well as
HP file exchange. Then we could easily find an affordable MAC compatible
storage device such as Iomega's Zip or Jazz drive.
Only distantly related:
Could anyone recommend software/shareware that would enable histogram
deconvolution on the HP Consort 32? Presumably, constant-variance
techniques would be sufficient for our needs. Would it be advantageous to
convert our files to MAC/powerPC format (related to above storage problems)
and do the analysis there?
Much thanks in advance,
Patrick Daugherty
