R. Manz, M. Assenmacher, E. Pflueger, S. Miltenyi and A. Radbruch from the
University of Cologne published a paper describing a method which should help
you. It's titled "Analysis and sorting of live cells according to secreted
molecules, relocated to a cell-surface affinity matrix" and was published in
Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. USA, Vol 92, pp. 1921-1925.
They create an artificial matrix on the cells, specific for the secreted
molecule. Cells are embedded in gelatine to prevent crossfeeding of secreted
products to other cells. Subsequently they sorted the cells magnetically by
using antibodies against the secreted product conjugated to magnetic microbeads.

Good luck,
Alexander Horst
