Hi Alice -
That was the point I was trying to make. CD69, CD25, and CD98 all emerge
on cell surfaces ahead of a known restriction point definable on the basis
of G1A RNA content as opposed to G1B RNA content. They can thus be present
on cells that will never get the signal to get past this point and
proliferate. That's one reason I favor RNA content as a marker; another is
that pyronin Y is lots cheaper than monoclonal antibodies.
