We have not tried Windows 95, but for three years (until last summer)
used earlier versions of Elite software with Windows 3.1/Windows for
workgroups and earlier versions. Version 4 and 4.01 failed with
exactly the same messages you have found, and no amount of messing
about worked. We use a mixture of Win MDI and Coulters XL software
for off-line analysis. The XL software works fine in Windows and
will analyse list mode files generated with version 4 software on the
Elite, which of course earlier versions of the Elite software will
not. (We tried that too).
