In Prof. Eric Marz's reply to Bakul I. Dalal about MFI and WinMDI's
failure to read Coulter's Profile II listmode format, it is suggested
that the program Pro2FCS available from Verity Software House,
Topsham ME, be used to do a conversion first.

In my experience users do not want to mess around reading files in
one program and then another (and probably another to get a decent
print out) they want to open the file ONCE. So please Prof Martz, on
behalf of the over 50 Profile users in our organisation and all those
other profile users out there, incorporate the Profile II format into
MFI so that listmode files may be read directly (and possibly saved
as FCS 2.0)

I can UUE encode you some data if you need it.
