Two quick notes....1) If you actually mean "analyze" where you said (typed)
"sort", then HemaLine is ok...if you do mean "sort" -- stop!! CHeck the
formula on HemaLine. I believe it has a mold inhibitor (thymol or some
such) which will most likely kill (or at least mess up!) any cells you may
want to sort viably. 2) What to use? Easiest answer is sterile calcium/
magnesium free PBS. Has several advantages -- isotonic, ions for the
sorter, and it's buffered (good for pH-sensitive stuff like FITC, as
someone recently pointed out to me, after 20 years in the biz).
